Therapy isn’t just my profession it’s truly my passion. I feel honored every day to witness my clients grow, heal, and create meaningful change in their lives.
Hi, I’m Lois a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, mother of three amazing boys, business owner, and someone who genuinely loves life. Over the past 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. One thing I’ve learned time and time again is this: as humans, we are incredibly resilient. Even in the face of pain, we have the capacity for growth, healing, and joy.
My role is to walk alongside you especially in those moments when it’s hard to see the possibilities, the strength, or the light around you. I strive to create a space where you feel supported, understood, and gently encouraged as you move toward the life you want.
My approach is integrative and tailored to each individual. I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which I’ve been practicing for nearly 10 years, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), for which I’ve completed Level 1 training. Both are highly effective in treating trauma, which is one of my core specialties. I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness practices to help create meaningful and lasting change.
In addition to my clinical work, I’ve spent the past five years supervising therapists who are working toward licensure. Supporting and mentoring the next generation of therapists is incredibly meaningful to me they are the future of this work.
I strongly believe that to guide others, I must also do my own work. Over the years, I’ve engaged in my own therapy, attended healing retreats, participated in group work, 12 step programs, and maintained a personal practice of reflection and growth. This allows me to show up more authentically and effectively for my clients.
I specialize in trauma across the lifespan, from childhood through adulthood, and also have extensive experience in grief and loss from my work in hospice care. I support couples navigating challenges such as communication, trust, infidelity, and parenting. I also enjoy working with young adults who feel stuck or uncertain, helping them reconnect with their strengths, clarify their goals, and move toward a more fulfilling path.
Many of my clients come in experiencing anxiety, depression, or feeling overwhelmed by life’s challenges. Together, we explore both the underlying causes and practical tools to help you feel better and move forward often more quickly than you might expect.
I also have experience working with individuals and families impacted by addiction, including substances, technology, and other compulsive behaviors. I value the role of community and support in recovery and can help connect you with helpful resources along the way.
If you’re ready to begin or even just thinking about it I would be honored to support you on your journey.
